All is calm for Bulusan Volcano

All is calm for Bulusan Volcano

Mount Bulusan was all calm and composure a day before when Mount Mayon exhibited again a glimpse of its fury.

I caught Bulusan Volcano still wearing an interesting  morning cloud veil signifying a fair day when I checked her out in my azotea spot oblivious of what was to happen the next day on her nearest active neighbor, Mt. Mayon, some 138 km from here.

This morning Mt. Bulusan is as calm  as the clouds floating leisurely above it.

  1. Nice view except for that antennae. I know why you cropped it in portrait orientation, to display the blue skies. Is Bulusan as active as Mayon?

  2. The purpose of the crop is to hide the buildings of the Poblacion. My view here from the house azotea is limited. This site’s header shows the complete Bulusan Volcano view as seen from an open space near a rice field.
Yes, Bulusan Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the country. Phivolcs lists 23 active volcanoes, Mayon and Bulusan are on the top bracket 🙂
